University of Texas at El Paso is located in El Paso, Texas. Its mascot is the Miners. UTEP's biggest rivals are New Mexico State and New Mexico, although the Miners have growing rivalries with Tulsa and Houston. Historically, UTEP has had rivalries with Brigham Young, Wyoming, Fresno State, and Nevada (basketball).
