- Colors - The school colors of Florida Atlantic are Blue, Red, and Flat Silver.
- Fight Song(s) - FAU Fight Song
- Shula Bowl - Every year Florida Atlantic plays Florida International University in the "Shula Bowl" at Dolphin Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins. The "Shula Bowl" named after Don Shula, former coach of the Miami Dolphins and record holder of the most NFL victories, gives bragging rights to a South Florida team. FAU acquired a Division I-AA football team in 2001 and FIU acquired DI-AA in 2002.
