Fairfield

Fairfield University is located in the coastal suburb of Fairfield, Connecticut. It is a small, Jesuit, liberal arts college. Its mascot is the Stags
Fairfield is run by the Jesuits. The university has a policy prohibiting students from referring to the school as "FU."
Fairfield competed in football at the club level from 1966 to 1986 and at the Division I-AA level from 1996 to 2002.
The Stags men's basketball team nearly upset the number one seeded North Carolina Tar Heels in the first round of the 1997 NCAA Tournament, leading by seven points at halftime before falling 82-74.
