Founded in 1871, Alcorn State was the nation's first state-supported institution for the higher education of African Americans. Alcorn is located in Claiborne County, Mississippi, seven miles west of Lorman, MS. ASU Enrollment is Approximately 2,705 full-time undergraduates. The mascot is the Braves
